While I was shopping for Christmas presents, I couldn't help picking up a few little things for myself too [I know, I'm horrible]. I bought my mom a tin of
C.O. Bigelow's Rose Salve and decided to get myself one too because it just sounded so amazing. Boy, was I in for a surprise. Not only is this stuff amazing, it's like a miracle cure for dry lips/skin!
I tend to have chapped lips a lot because I always chew on my lips, especially when I'm stressed or nervous. I've tried all sorts of balms to help keep my lips moisturized, but none ever seemed to really work. After 1 day [I kid you not, 1 day] of using this salve, I could already see and feel a difference. I kept using it everyday, making sure to put some on every night before bed, and I am so happy to say that lips are cured! They're so soft now, my lipstick and lip gloss goes on much smoother and looks prettier, and my lips just have a really nice, healthy look to them now. I couldn't be happier!
A really cool bonus to this product, besides the
fantastic smell and silky smooth feel, is that it can also be used on your face, hands, cuticles, elbows, knees, feet...really anywhere that's dry. My cuticles are a downright mess, so I'll be testing out this salve on them next. I'm excited to see what wonders it works this time.
I had to share about this product today because it really is that good. If you've never tried it before, I totally recommend it. Especially during the winter season, which can be really harsh and drying to your skin. Let me know if you try it and like it! XO, mandy
I have some in a blue tin from the same company and I LOVE it...except I can't find it right now :(
ReplyDeletei had a friend who always used this! and it was soooo lovely! i for sure need to pick some up!

ReplyDeletexo,

I've been using that stuff for years + all the different kinds :) It's great!
ReplyDeletewow... i'm going to have to give this a try!!! how does it compare to burt's bees?

<3 this lip gloss! its smells nice, and feels even better!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! My lips are always super chapped in winter. Not very sexy at all :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :) I think I have to search on google
ReplyDeleteI use this product too! I love it...you can always use it on anything else that's dry...it's like a cure all! The only complaint I have about it is that I find I have to put it on often as it soaks in quick, but you're right it works!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Thank you for this review! I have the *worst* lips, but I love wearing really bold lipstick - those two things do not mix well, so I've had to work really hard to keep my lips moisturized so my lipstick won't look awful. I'll definitely be trying this product!
ReplyDeletethanks for the reply! i've heard burt's bees was one of the best and although it' not too shabby and i've been using it for years... it's still just "eh!" that's why i asked. i will mos def need to try the rose salve... where can i get it from?
ReplyDelete(and here's a confession: i actually spent a good amount of my morning going through all your blogs! i love the reality of it; which is hard for me to come across since joining the blogosphere a few months ago. it seems everyone is all about sponsorships and giveaways and therefore commercialization which turns me off. ahah, okay - i'll stop.)
but if you reply, be sure to do so on my blog again so i get it. otherwise, it'll be lost in cyber space as it'll be oblivious to me, forever! ahah.
Not surprised, I have their mocha rose lip balm and it is superb! Might give this a go too:)
ReplyDeleteYes! I've used this for years, and I'm kind of in love. Also, their blueberry one is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes!! I love this stuff. Do you know they have a strawberry kind, too? It's the one I use :)
ReplyDeleteisn't it the best ever?! love it!
ReplyDeleteI want softer lips! I'm single now, and these lips need to be ready for anything! haha :]
ReplyDeleteThat stuff works amazing! I love love love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny- if I'm in a fix and have bad dry spots on my hands, but no lotion in my purse I wipe some on my finger and use it as lotion. I thought I was really weird for doing that ha
